Home Repair

Home repair services in Marietta, Roswell, and greater Atlanta. Drywall, trim, doors, rot repair, and small carpentry fixes. Free estimates.

Every home needs occasional repair work — a door that sticks, a hole in the drywall, a wobbly handrail, a section of rotted trim, a loose floor board. Catalino Quality Construction handles residential repairs throughout Marietta, Roswell, and the greater Atlanta area. We bring the same craftsmanship to a half-day repair as to a major remodel, because small fixes done well are what keep a home in good condition over the long term.

Interior Repairs

Common interior repair calls include drywall hole and crack repair (small and large patches, both with texture matching), door rehang and adjustment, trim and baseboard replacement, damaged stair tread or baluster repair, loose handrail re-anchoring, cabinet door and drawer rehang, and minor floor board replacement. We carry common materials in our trucks so many of these can be completed in a single visit.

Exterior Repairs

Outdoor repairs include rotted trim, fascia, and soffit replacement (then primed and painted to match), damaged siding board replacement, deck board and railing repair, exterior door and door frame rebuilding, and weather-damaged window trim. Atlanta's humidity is hard on exterior wood — we use rot-resistant lumber (cedar, PVC trim, or pressure-treated) and proper flashing details for repairs that don't rot again in two years.

Inspection Punch Lists

Pre-sale home inspections often produce long repair lists. We handle most carpentry, drywall, trim, door, and minor exterior items in-house, coordinate with licensed electricians and plumbers for code-required electrical and plumbing fixes, and provide written documentation suitable for closing. Many sellers find it more efficient to give us the full punch list than to coordinate five different handymen.

Wood Rot Repair

Wood rot — at deck posts, siding, fascia, window sills, door jambs, and structural beams — is one of the most common Atlanta home problems. We cut back to sound wood, install pressure-treated or rot-resistant replacement lumber, flash and seal properly to prevent recurrence, and prime and paint to match. For structural rot (beams, joists, deck framing), we evaluate the load path and rebuild with engineered members where appropriate.

Licensed and Insured

Catalino Quality Construction is licensed through the State of Georgia (License #RBCO008244) and fully insured with liability and workers' compensation coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between home repair and home improvement?

Home repair fixes something that's broken, worn, or no longer functioning correctly — a sticking door, a hole in the drywall, rotted trim, a damaged stair tread. Home improvement upgrades something that already works to make it better — refacing cabinets, finishing a basement, adding crown molding. We handle both, and many repair calls turn into modest improvements once we're on site.

Do you do small jobs or only large projects?

We do both. Some of our most-requested calls are single-day repairs — replacing a damaged door, patching a section of drywall, fixing trim, repairing a stair tread, replacing rotted siding boards. We minimum-charge small jobs to cover travel and setup, but we don't turn away repair work.

Can you fix things flagged in a home inspection report?

Yes — this is one of our most common repair scenarios. Pre-sale inspection punch lists typically include missing handrails, GFCI issues (we coordinate with electricians when needed), drywall damage, rotted exterior wood, loose handrails and balusters, and door and window problems. We can address most carpentry- and finish-related items in-house and provide documentation for the closing.

How quickly can you come out for a repair?

For active emergencies (water intrusion, security issues like a broken door), we try to respond within 24 to 48 hours. For non-emergency repairs we typically schedule within 1 to 2 weeks. Free estimates can usually be done within a few days of your call.
