A reliable roof is the most important system in any home — it protects everything underneath. Catalino Quality Construction provides residential roof repair throughout Marietta, Roswell, and the greater Atlanta area. Our scope is targeted repair work: leaks, missing shingles, flashing, storm damage, and soffit/fascia repair — the kind of focused fixes that keep an otherwise sound roof working for years.

Leak Diagnosis and Repair

Roof leaks are notoriously tricky to track down because water travels along rafters and decking before showing up inside. Our diagnostic process starts in the attic — looking for stained or damp decking, daylight, and active drips during a hose test if needed. Common culprits are damaged or missing shingles, failed pipe boots around plumbing vents, cracked or rusted flashing at chimneys and skylights, separated step flashing along sidewalls, and ice-dam-style ridge or valley leaks. Once located, we repair the source — not just the stain inside.

Shingle and Flashing Repair

Asphalt shingle repair includes replacing damaged or missing shingles, sealing exposed nail heads, and addressing edges and ridges that have lifted in wind. Flashing repair — the metal pieces that seal where the roof meets other surfaces — covers chimney counterflashing, step flashing along sidewalls, kickout flashing where roofs meet walls, pipe boot replacement, and valley metal. We use materials and techniques from GAF and Owens Corning systems.

Storm Damage Repair

Atlanta gets its share of severe weather. After a storm, we inspect for wind-lifted shingles, hail bruising, fallen-limb impact, and exposed underlayment. We document damage with photos suitable for insurance claims and complete repairs once the claim is approved. Emergency tarping is available when needed to prevent further water intrusion.

Soffit, Fascia, and Gutter Coordination

Roof edges — soffits and fascia — are often where wood rot and pest entry first appear. We replace damaged sections, prime and paint, and coordinate with gutter services for related drainage repairs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you handle roof leaks or full re-roofs?

Our scope is roof repair — leak diagnosis, missing or damaged shingle replacement, flashing repair around chimneys and roof penetrations, soffit and fascia repair, and minor storm damage. For a full re-roof (tear-off and replacement of the entire roof system) we coordinate with specialized roofing contractors and can manage that work as part of a broader project. We're honest about which jobs we handle in-house and which are better suited to a roofing-only specialist.

How do I know if I have a roof leak?

Look for water stains on ceilings (especially after heavy rain), damp insulation in the attic, missing or curled shingles visible from the ground, granules collecting in gutters, daylight visible through the attic decking, or musty smells in upstairs rooms. Not every ceiling stain is a roof leak — sometimes it's a plumbing leak from above or condensation — but any new staining warrants an attic inspection.

Will insurance cover storm damage to my roof?

Often, yes — hail damage, wind damage, and tree-limb impact are typically covered by homeowner's insurance after the deductible. Document the damage with photos, file the claim promptly, and let the adjuster see the roof. We can provide repair estimates for insurance purposes and complete authorized work. We do not engage in 'insurance fraud-bait' tactics like fake claims or unnecessary scope inflation.

How long does a typical roof repair take?

Small repairs (a few replaced shingles, sealed nail pops, one flashing fix) often take a half-day. Larger repairs (chimney flashing rebuild, valley repair, multiple sections) can run one to three days. We schedule weather-dependent work around the forecast — you don't want a roof open when a thunderstorm rolls in.
