Staircase Renovation
Builder-grade, honey oak, carpet-wrapped treads: the staircase every subdivision got. The renovation strips it to the parts worth keeping and replaces the rest — carpet off and hardwood treads exposed against white risers, turned oak spindles out for matte black double-knuckle iron balusters, and a new white oak handrail on a square craftsman newel.
The wainscoting along the stair wall was refreshed to frame the new work, and the photos catch the newel still raw before its finish coat. It's the same structural staircase it always was — the update is entirely in the parts your hand and eye actually touch.
