Electrical Services

General contracting electrical scope in Marietta, Roswell, and greater Atlanta. Fixture installation and coordination with licensed electricians.

Electrical work is a regulated trade in Georgia, and we're upfront about our scope: Catalino Quality Construction is a licensed Residential Basic Contractor, not a licensed electrical contractor. Within remodel, repair, and general contracting projects throughout Marietta, Roswell, and the greater Atlanta area, we handle limited electrical-scope work directly and coordinate with licensed electricians for everything else.

What We Handle Directly

In the course of a remodel or repair, our crew installs and replaces light fixtures, ceiling fans, switches, outlets (like-for-like replacement), exhaust fans tied to existing circuits, low-voltage components, and similar finish-side electrical work. We also do the rough-side cosmetic work — cutting boxes, fishing low-voltage cable, repairing drywall around electrical work — that supports an electrician's job and finishes the room.

What We Subcontract

Any work that requires a Georgia electrical license — panel upgrades, new circuits, service upgrades, knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring replacement, dedicated circuits for appliances or EV chargers, and any work requiring an electrical permit — is handled by licensed electrical subcontractors. We manage the relationship, scheduling, and quality coordination so the homeowner has a single point of contact.

Remodel Electrical Coordination

This scope shows up most often in kitchen and bath remodels, basement finishes, and additions where new lighting layouts, additional outlets, fans, and dedicated circuits are needed. Our role is to plan the layout with the homeowner, schedule the electrical subcontractor at the right time in the project (before drywall), manage inspections, and complete trim, paint, and finish around the new electrical work.

Licensed and Insured

Catalino Quality Construction holds Georgia Residential Basic Contractor License #RBCO008244 (company) and #RBQA008233 (individual) through the State of Georgia. We carry general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Our electrical subcontractors are independently licensed and insured.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a licensed electrician?

No — we are a Georgia Residential Basic Contractor (License #RBCO008244), not a licensed electrical contractor. For panel work, new circuits, service upgrades, and other code-restricted electrical work, we coordinate with licensed electrical subcontractors as part of our general contracting role. We handle the carpentry, framing, drywall, and finish work around their installations and manage the inspection process.

What electrical-scope work can you do directly?

As part of remodel and repair projects we handle like-for-like fixture replacement (light fixtures, ceiling fans, switches, outlets), low-voltage installations, and the coordination with electricians for anything requiring a permit. For any work that adds, modifies, or extends circuits, or that touches the service panel, we sub to licensed electricians.

Why use Catalino Quality Construction instead of calling an electrician directly?

For pure electrical work — a panel upgrade, a new circuit for an EV charger, troubleshooting a dead outlet — call an electrician directly. Hire us when the electrical work is part of a larger project (kitchen remodel, basement finish, bath remodel, addition) and you want one accountable general contractor managing scope, schedule, drywall patching, trim, paint, and the electrical subcontractor together.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. For projects requiring electrical permits, we coordinate the permit application with the electrical subcontractor, schedule the rough and final inspections with the local jurisdiction, and ensure final sign-off before we close the wall or finish the room. See our permitting page for more.
