Outdoor Living Transformation — Patio, Deck & Custom Wet Bar

The before photos show an outdoor space losing to the weather: grayed diagonal decking gone slick and dark under a covered corner, a porch swing over soft boards, and exterior stairs with rotting treads and mildew-blotched posts.

The rebuild replaced it with a two-level covered outdoor structure. Heavy pressure-treated timber posts with knee braces carry a metal roof on an exposed rafter-and-purlin grid; underfoot, the old decking gave way to slate-look tile laid with a border band. Black iron balusters run between the posts, and the stairs were rebuilt with composite treads, picture-frame borders, and a post-cap light.

Then the finish work makes it a room: two ceiling fans with lights, string lights wrapping the structure on both levels, and a custom wet bar — a granite top on a pressure-treated base with an undermount sink and gooseneck faucet, plumbed and ready for a crowd. With the woods and water just past the railing, it's the kind of space that changes how the whole house gets used from spring through fall.
