Concrete services in Marietta, Roswell, and greater Atlanta. Driveways, walkways, patios, slabs, and foundation work. Free estimates.

Concrete is the foundation of much of the work we do — literally. Catalino Quality Construction provides concrete services throughout Marietta, Roswell, and the greater Atlanta area. From driveways and walkways to patio slabs and footings for additions, we deliver concrete work that's properly prepped, properly poured, and built to outlast Georgia's freeze-thaw cycles and red-clay soil movement.

Driveways and Walkways

A new concrete driveway is one of the most visible improvements you can make to a home. We handle the full process: tear-out and disposal of existing driveway, excavation to proper depth, base preparation with compacted aggregate, forming, reinforcement (rebar or wire mesh as the design requires), pour, proper finishing (broom, smooth trowel, exposed aggregate, or stamped pattern), control joint cutting, and curing. Concrete walkways from driveways to entry doors and around the side and back of homes are common companion projects.

Patios and Slabs

Concrete patios offer durability and a clean finish for outdoor living areas. We pour rectangular slab patios for standard backyard layouts, larger pads for outdoor kitchens, and slabs sized as future foundations for sunrooms or screened porches. Decorative finishes — stamped, scored, colored, or exposed aggregate — are available where you want more than a plain broom finish.

Foundation and Structural Concrete

For additions, garages, and outbuildings we pour monolithic slabs, stem walls, and footings to engineered specifications. Footing depth and reinforcement is matched to the soil conditions and the structure above. All structural concrete work is permitted and inspected through the local jurisdiction.

Licensed and Insured

Catalino Quality Construction is licensed through the State of Georgia and fully insured with liability and workers' compensation coverage. Robert Catalino has overseen concrete projects across Cobb County for nearly 15 years and knows what holds up to local conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How thick should a concrete driveway be?

For a typical residential driveway in metro Atlanta, 4 inches of concrete over a properly compacted aggregate base is standard for passenger vehicles. If you'll park heavy vehicles, RVs, or trailers, we step up to 5 or 6 inches and add additional reinforcement. The base preparation — compacted stone, proper drainage — is as important as the slab thickness for long-term performance.

How long until I can use a new concrete driveway?

You can walk on a new concrete pour after about 24 to 48 hours. Light vehicle traffic is generally safe at 7 days. Full design strength — and the point at which heavy vehicles and trailers are appropriate — is at 28 days. We mark the curing schedule clearly so you don't accidentally damage fresh concrete.

Why do some concrete pours crack early?

Concrete will always develop hairline cracks — it's a fact of the material. Premature or large cracks usually trace back to one of three things: inadequate base preparation, missing or poorly placed control joints, or improper curing (drying too fast in heat). We address all three with proper base prep, joints cut at correct spacing, and curing compound or wet-cure as conditions demand. We follow ACI best practices.

Can you replace just a damaged section?

Sometimes — if a single panel of a driveway or walkway is heaved or cracked but the rest is sound, we can saw-cut and replace that panel. Color matching new concrete to old is imperfect (new pours look noticeably lighter for the first year), but the structural and functional result is good. For badly cracked or heaved slabs covering most of the area, full replacement is usually more cost-effective long-term.
