Run-In Shed — Custom Post-and-Beam Build

A run-in shed is the simplest useful building on a farm: three sides, a roof, and an opening the animals choose to use. This one is post-and-beam — 6x6 pressure-treated posts anchored on poured concrete pads, a single-pitch corrugated metal roof over exposed rafters and purlins, and horizontal board rails wrapping three sides.

The second photo is the acceptance test: horses grazing beside it, free to duck in for shade or weather whenever they like. Everything is left open and ventilated on purpose, and every material choice — treated posts, metal roof, board rails — is picked to stand outside year-round with little upkeep.
