Window Installation — Exterior Framing & Siding

Putting a big window where a small one used to be is a structural job wearing a cosmetic disguise. The before photo shows the wall opened up: old window out, sheathing stripped, and the opening being reframed to carry an oversized twenty-lite grid window.

The middle photo shows the step that photographs least: the new window set in the opening with house wrap lapped around it before any siding goes on. Then new lap siding, white casing, and trim finish the wall between the brick. From the kitchen side, the room gets roughly double the glass it had before.
