Full-Width Deck Build
Before, the back door landed on a small stained stoop with a few steps to stepping stones in the grass — the patio furniture sat on the lawn because there was nowhere else to put it. The rebuild ran a pressure-treated deck across the full width of the house's back elevation, with a wide centered stair run dropping to a concrete pad.
The railing uses round black iron balusters between pressure-treated posts and rails, and the stair structure is worth a close look in the photos — doubled stringers with blocking between them. A full-width deck does something a small platform can't: every back-door path, grill spot, and chair now lives on one level.
